Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are another treatment option that restoration dentists often use when one or more natural teeth remain in the upper or lower jaw. A partial denture is a removable bridge that consists of replacement teeth attached to gum-colored plastic base and connected by a metal framework to hold the denture in place. This denture is then cemented into place so as to fill in the spaces created by the missing teeth and to also hinder the other teeth from moving. Another option is the precision partial denture which is removable and has internal attachments that clasp to adjacent crowns for a more natural-looking appliance.
